Colourful Icegola in Differnet Types

Icegola In Different Types

The Ice Gola can be molded into any shape as desired, but these are best available in a conical/cylindrical shape. This universally appreciated ice dessert known by various names, like - Hawaiians call it "Shave Ice" / "Ice Shave"; The Indians call the most famous Gola or Chuskis. Although many flavors and colors make this Golas very tempting, it is essential to ensure that the colors are natural. The tangy and aromatic flavors of the syrups make Ice Gola delicious and full of lips with each bite.

Gola or Crushed Ice is usually served in conical paper, a plastic cup or sometimes served in cups/glasses filled with multiple flavors, including with cream of milk called "malai Gola".

The ice cube (s) are crushed (the better the crushing, the better) and taking into account the mold of choice; later, homemade sweet colored syrups are topped to be absorbed by the ice. In the streets of Mumbai, India, these Golas are topped with a syrup prepared with Jamun / blackberry and this is called "Chuskis". It was a challenge for me to get the natural green color for Ice Gola, but kudos to my little one who played a savior by suggesting making natural green color with spinach leaves. At first, I was a little sensitive but thought of giving it a shot and voila! believe me, it was really tasty and no one could find that the syrup was made from green leafy vegetables, which was, of course, the sweet secret until the last.
